First round disappointments
« on: April 17, 2015, 08:45:21 AM »
Who is the most likely to be drafted high and disappoint their team most?  Leave out the QBs because that is too easy of an answer.

The three I think of most are all pass rushers- Ray, Dupree, and Gregory.

I'll go with Dupree.  Not because he isn't a good player, but because he's too hyped and will go too high to some team desperate for an OLB. He really ought to be going in the lower part of round 1.

Fowler isn't going to live up to top 10 expectations though he probably won't be a total bust.

Trae Waynes as well

Breshad Perriman is going to be drafted in the first round because he can run really fast, and experience tells us that that's generally not a good idea. I've already seen excuses for why his drops were the fault of the system he played in and the poor quarterback and how if he and Kevin White had switched teams it would be Perriman being touted as a top ten prospect.

I honestly think that Gregory is the safest of all the OLB prospects, at least on the field. I cant predict how he'll handle the drug problem, but I think he has the lowest floor of all of the top rated prospects mostly because of how well he plays the run and can set the edge.

As far as disappointments?

Ill go with Shane Ray, Andrus Peat, Vic Beasley, Trae Waynes and Bud Dupree.

Dante Fowler is a better run defender than Randy Gregory

Andrus Peat, DGB

I'm not as high on Flowers/Humphries/Clemmings as most. the same can be said for Vic Beasley, Shane Ray, and Randy Gregory.  Not busts,  I just don't think they'll live up to draft position.
My dad always says he's undefeated at tailgating

Maybe it's not I who doesn't know what he's talking about

DGB

This POS doesn't deserve to go in the first round.

I believe Cody Prewitt & Derron Smith will be better pros.

I'm starting to wonder if Collins does a Mark Barron type rise and goes top 12-15 purely because he is considered so much better than any other safety in the draft.

My guess is Perriman. Heard rumors of a top 7 containing the big 3 WRs, and teams like Minnesota and Miami love him.

Given how good this WR class is going to be, the team taking Perriman high is gonna be really pissed.

Obvious answers: Jordan Phillips and DGB.
