And it's rather presumptuous to say it wouldn't be used for anything else.  There are private courses in LA that could do great as sustainable parks.  Huge country clubs on great land.  I'm sure people could put them to good use.

Tommy, what do you think about all the new mosques being constructed in the US?

It's a big country. Lots of land that wouldn't otherwise be used for anything else. And they pay for the water, so it's not a waste.

Is it true that you are not even allowed to use rain barrels in some areas now? Like, what the freak? How does that make any sense, if true?

More and more courses are being bought up by developers to build estates and upper-middle class homes.

Factories use much more water than golf courses. Those courses have been around for decades anyway

I haven't heard that.  That makes no sense to me.  I did here that municipalities are going to stop selling to water trucks, so a lot of people removed from the grid with a dead water table are going to be fucked.

So do farms.  They also produce a product for consumption.  I don't think the comparison of social utility of a factory and a golf course needs to be made.

This right here, golf has been slowly dying for the last decade. It seems participation is down bigtime and a lot of courses are going under.

So you shoot an 80 your first time ever playing, and then hang it up for good.
