Tiger is already showing signs of losing his swing and breaking down mentally.

I haven't watched but Spieth is on fire. Heard Tiger had a tremendous shot around some trees and put it on the green as well.

Everyone knows how to play golf. Hit the ball in the hole.

Golf is the biggest waste of land on the planet.

That doesn't disprove what he said.  The total acreage of courses in the US is greater than the combined size of Rhode Island and Delaware by 500 sq km.  here in California, they put a huge drain on water without a useful product like food.  You can certainly argue that courses are enjoyable, but that doesn't make them any less wasteful.

It's a big country. Lots of land that wouldn't otherwise be used for anything else. And they pay for the water, so it's not a waste.

...take a look at the state of California's water and tell me watering lawns to perfection isn't a waste.  In a lot of areas, you can't even plant new grass right now.  Whether someone pays for water doesn't dictate whether it could be put to a better purpose.  It's necessary for life and it's growing more and more scarce here.

Misguided and wrong.
