So what you're saying is Big Blocker would love this thread.

the TGG nostalgia is strong today.

And yes, you would be correct.

I'm sure it'll be a team someone expects. Just not the Titans (in your scenario).

I made this post in another thread. I think the Titans will ultimately trade the #2 pick to the highest bidder.

I can think of ten teams that could be a potential trade partner with the Titans for the #2 pick.

In order of likelihood:

High

Chargers (Rivers is on the last year of his contract and has been rumored to be on the trade block)

Browns (desperate to find an answer at the quarterback position and have two first round picks)

Rams (just traded for Nick Foles but have a loaded roster and can use him as ammunition in a trade up)

Medium

Eagles (obvious connection with Chip Kelly as the head coach)

Texans (need a quarterback and have a pretty solid roster already in place)

Saints (appear to be starting a rebuild, could have Mariota sit behind Brees for a couple years, and have two first round picks)

Low

Chiefs (don't think the Chiefs could afford the move up but need a quarterback to make them competitive)

Jets (I just don't think that we'd be willing to pay the price for a move up)

Redskins (doubtful considering they made a similar investment in RG3 three years ago)

Bears (clearly ready to move on from Cutler but his contract makes that nearly impossible)

If, by some chance, the Titans decide to keep their pick and draft Leonard Williams, I believe the Jags will then auction off their pick.

There were five receivers drafted in the 1st round last year. We'll top that number this year.

This has been made a bit more complicated by the Gregory revelation, but five of the first fifteen picks will be pass rushers.

If the Bears moved up and cut Cutler that would work out pretty freaking well for us.

I was thinking Chicago could draft Mariota and let Cutler play this year with Mariota on the bench.  Cut Cutler next year unless he has a magical rebirth.

Are we counting Funchess?

Edit: I guess Strong and Dorsett make 5, then it only takes one more. Good prediction.

Williams to the Titans and someone trading up to 3 for Mariota would be an ideal situation.

Cooper
White
Parker
Perriman
Strong
Dorsett

It could happen.  I think Perriman is getting that Stephen Hill-like hype and he'll end up sliding in to the second too.

The Saints will be super annoying if they get Phillip Dorsett to pair with Brandin Cooks.

Unless that someone is the Jets

Even if that's the case that's a better deal for us than having to go up to 2.
Need a new one for a new board...

I'll say we see 3 QBs go in round 1. Winston and Mariota top 10, and somebody trades back into the late 20s-early 30s to get the fifth year option on whomever they think is the third QB.

Also... Heard rumors (back in bills country for the week) that the Bills are falling hard for Bryce Petty

Williams to the Titans and someone trading up to 3 for Mariota would be an ideal situation.

That would guarantee one of Fowler, Cooper, or White will be available when we pick. Which will be awesome when we take Trae Waynes.

I really wanted to make this prediction but as of now I don't really think someone will like the 3rd QB enough to do that.

With that said, my prediction is that the Bills will trade up to get back into the 1st.
