I was all in on Watson before the bad stuff came up. Thought it made a ton of sense with our draft capital and QB need.

I think the accusations really screwed him up mentally. And I'm not saying he's a victim. The victims are the victims. But purely football speaking, I think the whole ordeal screwed him up. He went from being the golden child to being a pariah, deservedly so.

In a way it's the most hilarious outcome of the situation. If he never played again there would be some what-if speculation about how good he could have been. It's probably much worse that he got 100s of millions guaranteed, though.

But it's Cleveland, so at least it is kind of funny. Even if they keep winning.

If Watson were old Watson, they would be a legit Super Bowl contender. Kind of like if the Jets had Rodgers..

Apparently the Commanders have concerns over the longevity of Young's knee, which is reflected in the trade compensation. Niners are willing to gamble on it lasting a couple of seasons while they keep trying to win.

A change in San Francisco: Steve Wilks is out as the 49ers defensive coordinator.

Recently, the Niners DC position has been a pipeline to a HC job.  Except for Wilks.
