No, he still wasn't licking cake off anyone's face.  That would have been even worse.  I never said it was creepy.  I said it was weird.  Because it was.  It has nothing to do with him being a role model or selfish or anything.  It was weird.  That's it.

It really wasn't any more awkward than any wedding scenario. It seemed totally out place at a draft party instead of a wedding however.
