They may have no choice but to roll with Tannehill this year, the remaining FA options are terrible.

Josh McCown
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Brock Osweiler
Mike Glennon
Trevor Siemian
RG3
Matt Cassel
Mark Sanchez
Tom Savage
Josh Johnson
Brandon Weeden
Geno Smith
Sean Mannion

Fitzpatrick is a decent option for them. And he would likely be a good choice of mentor for a young QB. Plus he would likely be interested as going from Tampa to Miami is a pretty basic move

I’ve been laughing at this for a while but then realized it’s better if they have a mediocre QB to hurt their draft position for next year

“Full terms: The #Dolphins are receiving a 4th round pick in 2020 and the 2019 7th round pick, while the #Titans are getting a 6th in 2019 and Ryan Tannehill.”

The dolphins are def tanking this year and going after a 2020 QB.

Current Dolphins QB depth chart:
* Jake Rudock
* Luke Falk

@evansilva:#Dolphins 7th-round K Jason Sanders missed 10-of-35 career FGs at New Mexico. Mr @LanceZierlein, who wrote up 500+ prospects pre-draft including a ton of Ks & Ps, never heard of Sanders.

Bahahahaha

This has to be a wiki hack, right?

@NealDriscoll: Thank you @ryantannehill1 ! It’s didn’t go as planned but you were the best QB in Miami since Dan Marino. Tannehill was an absolute warrior. Good  luck

Including rollover money, Dolphins are projected to have more than $120 million in salary cap space in 2020 plus at least 10 draft picks. Chris Grier doing work.

Like I said

Everyone is currently predicted to have a excrement ton of cap space in 2020 at this point, it's the nature of NFL contracts. Over a third of the league is currently scheduled to have at least $90M in space next summer and Dallas, Baltimore, Indy, Houston and Seattle are all at $100M+.

I’m not worried about their cap space, I don’t want them to have their pick of the 2020 QB class

Are Herbert or Tagovailoa blue chip prospects though? I'd rather they end up with the next Tannehill and let some NFC team suck their way into Lawrence in 2021.

I’d rather they finish with 5-6 wins the next couple years and end up in QB purgatory for the next 5 years like us with Geno and Hack
