NFL Network's Mike Silver is "hearing" the Dolphins "may" retain GM Jeff Ireland, "against all odds."

Which of those words did he yell?

I'm guessing either "may" or "Ireland"
Need a new one for a new board...

I'd be pissed off if Eric Mangini was their GM.  I think he'd do a pretty good job.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

I had a dream, Carl Peterson gets the job and then he fires Regis and Cathy Lee and hires Herm.

It was a wet dream.

For the other teams, sure.

Rotocrap:

"Multiple NFL sources" tell the National Football Post's Jason Cole they would "advise anyone close to them" not to accept the Dolphins' general manager job.
Per Cole, the sources believe the Dolphins' power structure is "set up to fail." That's certainly hard to argue. Owner Stephen Ross has been coy on whom will have final say in his new front office, while pigeonholing a new general manager with an existing head coach almost never works. The Dolphins' owner since 2008, Ross has thus far proven incapable of getting his power structure right.

As much as I want to revel in this, a year ago assholes were saying the Jets couldn't "give away" their GM job.

Don't think of it that way.  This of it as our sweet payback.  Pile on the bandwagon of hate.

If all football prospects were best discovered on a treadmill, sure...

Shortly after last season, Eric Mangini was on a treadmill in the Jets' weight room, performing a cardio workout, when he caught his first glimpse of Vernon Gholston on tape - and that really got the coach's heart pumping. "I remember thinking, 'This could be the sixth pick in the draft,'" Mangini said Friday. "He kept popping off the screen."
The coach was so captivated that he rushed to his office, punched up Gholston on the computer and checked out the Jets' scouting reports on the former Ohio State star. He was impressive on the computer, too. It was love at first byte.
