Ryan Tannehill is piece of excrement but if you put him on any team with a competent coaching staff he's probably a top 10 QB.

I thought he was a huge reach when he was drafted but he's exceeded my expectations.

Tannehill is a good QB I think, but there are so many good QBs in the league today that he's essentially average.

First tier you have the elites: Brady, Manning (although he is no longer that guy), Rodgers, Manziel, Brees, Roethlisberger.

Second tier you have the guys that are on their way to being elite or on the outside looking in for various reasons: Rivers, Palmer, Cam, Luck, Wilson, Eli, Romo.

Then you have the group of guys that are your franchise QBs with various flaws: Matt Ryan, Stafford, Cutler, Flacco, Dalton, Bortles, Carr, etc.

Tannehill is imo towards the tail end of that group

Cam Newton is elite.  He's most likely going to win MVP.

The list isn't concrete but imo he needs to either win the Superbowl or do this for one more year. Palmer, Rivers, Wilson, Cam, and Luck are on the cusp

Have you seen how shitty Cam's supporting cast is?

Fine Cam Newton is Elite. Does that really matter so much?

I'm pretty sure that was his way of finding out if anyone actually read his list.

Quote
According to the Miami Herald, former Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin wanted the team to draft Derek Carr in the first round to replace Ryan Tannehill in 2014.
Philbin was overruled by former GM Dennis Hickey, who took OT Ja'Waun James instead. According to beat reporter Armando Salguero, Tannehill was "starved for help and support" but never got any from Philbin. Whenever "things got sideways" during his tenure in Miami, Philbin would privately blame Tannehill for the team's shortcomings. Philbin even resented Tannehill's friendship with Dan Marino, who was brought in as a special advisor in 2014. Philbin's aloofness toward Tannehill certainly contributed to Miami's dysfunction last year. Tannehill is in a much better environment now with Adam Gase as the head coach.

Always interesting when a head coach wants to replace his young healthy QB who is one of the most talented in its franchise's history (obviously hes not in the same ballpark as Marino and such)

Well, Carr is better lol. I'd be pissed too if the team told me I couldn't have Carr and had to take James over him.

Someone I actually kinda liked.  But wouldn't have taken him over carr lpl

Wow like Badger said
