But E said he was a good QB and I just couldn't admit it because I like the Jets after he got that stupid contract.

Tannehill has the tools but is not a good QB.  That is not to say he cannot be a good QB but so far through almost 4 years he has not been good.

he was very good #s wise but put him in a tough spot or a big game and he disappears.  he was mediocre last year though his #s were very good.

During the game I was saying to my son that I think Tannehill is a good QB stuck on an awful team. It would almost certainly not happen, but if the Phins wind up in full-rebuild mode this offseason, I'd like Duff to call Mike T and ask what he'd want for Tannehill.

Philadelphia should try to get Tannehill

he is a reason they suck.  They keep trying to bring talent around him and he keeps failing.  2 years ago the Miami D was very good and tried to carry him to postseason and he wouldn't let them.  Miami has talent, we can discuss coaching but they have had playoff caliber talent the last 2-3 years.

doesn't Miami run a version of Chip's O? and not very well.

That's what people think, but it's false.  Lazor was only with Kelly for a season.

He was very good last season.

All his passes travel 3 yards.

And he still threw for over 4000 yards

it's not great but nowhere near as bad as people think.

And he still threw for over 4000 yards

how many of those yards in meaningless situations? how many short passes turned into long ones w/ great effort from his WRs?  he threw for 4,000 w/ almost 600 pass attempts.  prorate Geno's 2014 #s to 590 attempts and he is over 4,000 yds too.

Nyjunc, they mentioned during the game that Tannehill has been sacked more times in the last 4 years than any other QB in that timespan. The idea that Miami's OLine is nowhere near as bad as people think is just wrong. They are bottom-of-the-barrel bad.
