I imagine the practice squad guys may have been overly celebrating the picks or talking a bit of trash. Not that would excuse what he said, but I imagine it went down in that vein.

FWIW, the tweet basically said no one would corroborate the story, not that it wasn't true. Why would anyone admit to that? That's a good way to be on the early outs with your new coach who appears to value discipline a lot more than his predecessor.
