After last night's game, Tannehill became the single-season leader for times sacked by a Dolphins QB.

Because he was actually good. And had a lighting fast release.

Yep the best pure thrower I have ever seen. Thank God the rest of the team sucked around him. If he played with modern rules.....

39 more times (5 or 6 times per game on average for the rest of the season).

So probably not happening.

A long way. David Carr holds the record, he went down 76 times playing for the Oilers in 2002.

Well on the plus side we are the Dolphins week 17 matchup, so we might have a chance to set NFL history that week

But we also might be resting out starters that week, so I guess well see

Only a godking can get sacked that many times and survive.

Not only did he survive, he went on to take third place in that particular league of OL shame three years later by getting sacked 68 times in the 2005 season.

For the record, Geno is on pace for 2nd most in a Jets season.

Interestingly, in the list of most sacked QBs ever the active leader is Ben Roethlisberger at 379, and given he is only 30 years old you have to think that Brett Favre's record of 525 could be under threat.

That's actually really surprising, because he seems like the master of not getting sacked.
