Maccagnan went to Alabama's Pro Day today

#shitpost

BrianCoz: The ESPN report was wrong. Mike Maccagnan is in Florham Park, not Tuscaloosa. #nyj

@RichCimini: Jets GM Mike Maccagnan didn't attend the Alabama pro day. He's in Florham Park, conducting business. #nyj

@KimJonesSports: Jets GM Mike Maccagnan has been busy today in Florham Park. Tomorrow, he'll be at Oregon/Marcus Mariota Pro Day. Jets own No. 6 pick.

If Murray resigns with the Cowboys, that takes them out of the market. Colts also signed Gore which will likely do the same.

The Ravens may look to draft an RB in the first, and the Jags may target one coming back around in the 2nd.

I dont think its likely Gordon or Gurley fall to the Jets, but man would I be happy if either ended up on the team. Instant focal point for 4-5 years on offense.

Here we go... Mike Maccagnan will be at Oregon's Pro Day today to watch Marcus Mariota in person.

Among those set to be at Oregon Pro Day: Bucs GM Jason Licht, Titans GM Ruston Webster, Skins GM Scot McCloughan, Jets GM Mike Maccagnan.

1, 2, 5, and 6.

Ugh.  Time to start trying to get over my hatred and look for positives.  I'm tired of spending draft day pissed off.

The positive to me is that they traded for Fitzpatrick. That tells me that regardless of who else is on the roster, they don't expect them to start this year unless that guy completely blows everyone away in the preseason.

If they draft Mariota, it's a pretty safe bet he'll get an opportunity to sit and learn from the bench for a while.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

I don't think Bowles/Maccagnan want a rookie QB, at least not right away, unless they feel it is the perfect situation. they don't want to deal with the shitstorm of another young highly touted QB failing here.

so, if Mariota somehow does fall to us, and we take him, I would be fine with it if he sat and learned behind Fitz (a brilliant QB who already knows the verbiage and playbook), I would be able to settle with that. only because I would hope the new guys wont be willing to make the same mistake the old guys made.

everything said, I really don't want Mariota.

I'm just waking up every day and praying that teams 1-5 pass on Jameis due to sloppyfatz/character issues
