I did this last year, and it'll look a lot different this year because instead of picking 18th, we are picking 6th so the list is much shorter. Hopefully it should be a lot easier.
Basically, list your top 6 picks in order of where you would like the Jets to take them. Don't just lump a bunch of guys together. If you have 3 WRs very close, pick an order. Don't just say "any of these guys" (Puck will do this to be an poopchute and it won't be funny). Comment at the end of your list if you want, but make a definitive 1-6 list first.
Feel free to go back and update it as the offseason goes along. The whole point is to look at your final list when the Jets are on the clock and see if they take who you have listed as your top remaining player. Last year, my top remaining guy was Brandin Cooks, so I lost on that one.
Anyway, here's mine:
1. Jameis Winston
2. Dante Fowler, Jr.
3. Kevin White
4. Amari Cooper
5. DeVante Parker
6. Randy Gregory
I didn't list Leonard Williams, because I think if by miracle he is still on the board at 6, we should try like gangbusters to trade back with someone. We don't have a place for him on the Jets unless we go to a 4-3. Maybe he's the kind of talent you draft and make a place for him. I don't know. He'll be long gone though, so it won't matter.
I almost listed Shane Ray instead of Gregory at the end.
I don't see any other position besides QB, WR, or pass rusher that is worth the 6th pick for the Jets.
