It makes more sense to fire GM's after the season IMO. Once the trade deadline is over, they aren't making any meaningful moves to impact the roster.

This. Get that process wrapped up as quickly as possible because you want the next guy making the decision on who the coach is going to be, and you want them to be able to hit the ground running in terms of starting the process on black Monday.

Agreed. I thought Douglas had an advantage coming in a full season before having to do a whole lot. We're in a different situation than the Jags because we're keeping the GM and presumably only firing the coaching staff.
