Yeah, I'm just trying to get through it with my soul intact.

Key is to identify your weakest team member within the first hour or so and then fire them on the spot in front of their colleagues. Fear is a great motivator to ensure that the others work harder, so rooster your leg and pee on your territory on day one and leave no doubt about who is in charge.

First lesson is free, for the rest you'll have to pay to come to the seminar.

So the temp supervisor thing has been going pretty good and I ended up applying for a long term supervisor position back at my old office, but I found out today that they took a guy making a lateral move instead.

On the bright side the guy they picked comes from one of the other offices closer to my house so now a spot should open up there.

Good luck on it opening and subsequently getting it.
Teams that draft well do so no matter where they pick. Teams that draft poorly do so no matter where they pick I want my team to win games and draft well

Here's a peek into the unglamourous part of my job: trying to figure out who has stealthily been vomiting in wastebaskets at unoccupied desks around the office.

Plot twist: You'll never find the culprit because it's actually you when you get blackout drunk after everyone leaves at night.

Out of sheer morbid curiosity, has anyone ever had an incoming supervisor just walk the freak out of their introductory meeting?

Today was bizarre.

A. He was playing Pokemon Go and had to run because there was a Dratini outside

B. He found another job before the meeting was over

I wish we fired people like that. We just get emails that so and so is no longer with the organization and we get extra work.
