I don't understand why anyone under 40 cares about Betty White.
It's rare to see a celebrity no one dislikes.  Her and Dolly Parton come to mind.

Also depends on your definition of "care". I'm not going to her funeral, but I grew up watching the Golden Girls with my Granny.  I liked her.

Add The Golden Girls to the already long list of shows I've never seen.

I never watched any of the shows she was on, but she seemed funny and nice.

But you're right, maybe I should say people age 30 and up.

Dolly Parton actually does stuff worthy of praise though. Post-GG Betty White just existed and seemed nice. Of course anyone old enough to remember GG has a good reason to be fond of her.

She's peppered in enough fun guest spots throughout the years that I can see the appeal of someone going back to her old work and enjoying it.

Betty White was big on animal rights apparently. If you care.

Crazy that he was younger than White.  He always just looked old as hell.

At some point I realized some people just look old for about half of their life.

My dad and I attended the same high school 30+ years apart. The same baseball/basketball coach was there both times. I saw a pic of him from the 1970s and he looked old even back then. I think part of it is just the 20th century lifestyle compared to now.
