Saw a post on another forum saying the loss of Riley Page is comparable to Cliff Burton's death in the late 80s.It will crush that scene.
I don't know if that's quite true; Metallica in the Cliff Burton era were creating the thrash sound. Power Trip are amazing, but they're new blood in an existing scene rather than true pioneers the way Cliff's Metallica were. That said, there aren't that many young bands making good new thrash, and Power Trip were leading the way.
