RIP. I never really understood the hype around them. I only really liked In the End.

Linkin Park didn't used to suck.  They have a dozen songs at least that were really good, if not great.  Overproduced numetal, yes, but Chester's voice was awesome.

I loved Hybrid Theory when it first came out, didn't really follow along with them but I don't know why.

First 2 albums were really good.  I was never a huge fan, but have friends that were.  I am to have to look up some youtube from when he toured with STP.

Probably the first celeb death that their work actually had a significant impact on my life. I listened to a ton of hybrid theory and meteora as a teen.

i liked linkin park a lot when i was in high school. i still liked them, but the last 2 albums kind of sucked imo. chester has been lashing out against fans who didn't like the new sound, but i dont think any one ever anticipated this.

rip :(

Makes sense honestly, they made angsty teen music when you weren't a teen.

Chester talked often about how he was molested as a kid. Who knows how badly messed up he was inside?

I wasn't a huge LP fan, but I like them enough to listen whenever their old songs come on. I also saw them at Jones Beach a few years ago. They put on an okay show, but it was raining so who knows how that played into the experience.

I should have tried to go see when he was touring with STP.

No mention of Jerry Lewis? $2.5 billion raised in the fight against muscular dystrophy. It's sad that he didn't live to see a cure. That's a helluva legacy though. Admittedly, I've never seen any of his films, but I watched the telethon every year as a kid.
