The state of the mayoral primary:

Morales: a significant portion of campaign staff quit over payment and treatment issues

Wiley: still not much traction, maybe too closely linked to DeBlasio

Stringer: MeToo'd into oblivion and lost almost all his endorsements

Adams: still sucks

Yang: still sucks

Garcia: Maybe? Has executive experience in city gov and recent NYT endorsement boosted her polling but she's no more progressive than Adams/Yang i.e. she will likely not provide any pushback against NYPD

Donovan, McGuire, et al: lol

Any Republicans: LOL

My wife and I were just talking about the mayoral race. For the first time since at least I turned 18, I am completely uneducated on the candidates. The only name we really know is Yang.

I basically know 2 things about the next mayor: 1) it won't be a right-wing piece of excrement and 2) it won't be de Blasio.

Poll is a few days old but showed Wiley gaining ground.

Ocasio-Cortez's endorsement was probably enough to convince me, but her stance on police reform ensures my vote.

Meanwhile Yang just got endorsed by the NYPD Captain's Union, confirming all his suggested reforms are worthless (basically diversity training).

If nothing else, Yang's commercial where he says he wants kids back in school so "parents can get back to work" was enough to lose my vote.

freak him. I've been working my derriere off for 15 months. I've done more in the last 1.25 years working remotely than I did in the previous 3 years sitting at my desk in Manhattan. I don't need an overseer to get my excrement done.
