2014 Trade Deadline October 28th 4:00 PM EST
« on: October 19, 2014, 09:04:10 PM »
Apparently Vincent Jackson is available.  Will be 32, and making roughly $10 Million in 2015

Jermaine Gresham and CJ Spiller, before injury.

I'm dissapointed there isn't much that ever happens in terms of in season NFL trades (as compared to baseball and basketball). Usually there aren't any that happen of significance, and every other year or 3 a trade of significance happens midseason, this year it's already happened with Harvin. I doubt we see another move of significance.

Although if Jackson could be had cheaply, I could see a contender making a move for him (especially if he can be cut/restructured easily this offseason). Maybe a team like Cleveland who wants to push for the postseason, and pairing him with Gordon for the next couple years could prove highly beneficial.

The only player I can think the Jets have to move is Damon Harrison.  He is going to be tendered next year for a first rounder, and I have a hard time believing we will match any offers.  If we can get a first rounder from a team trying to make a run, you take it.  IMO.

I would say he is moved for exactly that reason.  Browns would be interesting.  Seahawks?

I disagree.  Snacks is a player you keep.

I am sure that would be a common theme.

I don't think anyone is going to back up the truck for a nose tackle.

Idzik included, especially with a first round pick starring him in the face.

If some maroon offered us a 1st round pick for Snacks...I wouldn't think twice, and pull the trigger.

In retrospect, I would say that a first rounder would be hard to pass up.  I can't imagine anyone would make an offer though.

One team that makes a lot of sense would be Green Bay.  They are a legit contender, but they can't stop the run.

We should re-sign Harrison.  He is playing at close to or at an All-Pro level.
He shook my hand breed tub and walked away

We have this cap room to keep players like Harrison. We'd be lucky if a 1st rounder could be as effective as Harrison and he's still young. Why move him?

Because lottery tickets

The only way I could see it happening is if Idzik/Rex get canned and the new GM just wants to tear everything down and start over.
