After copiously urinating on, in and all over the Philadelphia Home Depots, Devils acquire the coveted ‘fuckin’ Timo Meier.

Devils deserve to get Timo Meier solely because of this shirt:

All hail the shirt.

Vanecek needed that shutout.

They need to figure out ways to spell him more often as we come down the stretch. It was fairly obvious he was going to hit a wall given his workload.

Schmid has been lights out. Blackwood should be back. They have options to give him the rest necessary to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

Sunday was encouraging on multiple fronts. Jack had his best game since coming back off injury, Bratter looked better than he has in weeks and they were more physical then the Canes which was my biggest concern for this team.

LFG tonight. Tampa's looking to right their ship after a bit of a swoon over the last month.

what a kick in the balls last night was.

I'm sorry but this "they're not going to call a penalty that late in overtime" excrement is freaking nonsense. So now people have cart blanche? Meier blatantly gets interfered with and Jack gets hooked. And it still took a ridiculously lucky bounce right on Boldy's stick.

The encouraging thing is Vanny had his best game in about two months last night.

I'm still very worried about the inability of the team to win any of the physical battles along the boards and in the neutral zone necessary to generate offense if/when teams clog the high slot and they can't get something going off the forecheck when they flood the zone. Not to mention how bad the D has been in front of the net lately. Old friend Kyle Palmieri literally skated freaking circles around the net Monday with Graves and Wood either getting juked out of their skates or just inexplicably not throwing their body at him. In fairness to Graves, he made an excellent play last night to preserve the lead when the Rangers had the extra man.

At the same time, my expectations this year were that they'd compete for an 8th seed before either narrowly missing the playoffs or making it and getting derriere blasted in the 1st round. I couldn't be more pleased with how its all coming together, and Timo's going to be a big piece moving forward both for his scoring touch and his size.

Haula's not even that big, but he's been the most physical player on the ice. I'd love to bring him back and keep him as the third line center.

Vanny played his best game since the initial run in November last night. He was super sharp.

I can take or leave Vanacek or Schmid next game. Vanacek hasn't been good enough. Schmid was actually better this season in a small sample. It's certainly not all on Vitek, but he's allowed 9 goals in 2 games.

I think you play Luke next game. Don't want to see Brendan Smith or Miles Wood out there next game either.
