Well this whole thread is moot

Missouri edge rusher Shane Ray met with a foot specialist who recommended the prospect will not need toe surgery, according to Ian Rapoport.

This is big news for Ray, who recently returned for a medical re-check which found the toe had not healed as much as hoped. The injury was described "like turf toe." Per Rapoport, it was discovered during a team visit. "Thought surgery was his reality. Instead, simply rest," Rapoport said of ray. Apr 23 - 2:36 PM

Well either way I hope this takes him out of the discussion for #6.

Toe problems can linger.

I can see him dropping hard to mid or late 2nd. I feel he's a 4-3 end but someone may bite in  the tail end of the first
