Definitely a fascinating read and will be interesting to follow. Apparently China is getting so desperate they're considering completely blocking uploading all video to the internet, as well as shutting down all mobile devices to quell the protest. (which hasn't been done in China in like 15 years)
I can't imagine how much no cellphones would cripple a population.
More worrisome to American (or even global) interest though is the covid aspect. Apparently the immunization rate/quality in China is dangerously low, and the public sentiment about the shutdowns/mandates is at a fervor and seemingly the biggest threat to communism in a long time. Their healthcare system is also nearing a breaking point, and that's before any potential major shifts in policy/behavior
Major changes/disruptions whatever the freak you want to call it could have devestating consequences when it comes to the spread of the disease or global supply chain issues.
