Apparently the NFLPA is going to appeal this....but i think he's done for this season.

What I don't understand is why the NFL decided to wait until after Peterson's charge dropped from a felony to a misdemeanor to suspend him for the season. If this was always going to be the outcome, he shouldn't have been paid for the last ten weeks.

I think they were hoping his case would take the entire season. When things got dropped down, they couldn't justify keeping him on the exempt list they had to make this ruling.
