In my movie queue I have Old Yeller, Brian's Song, and Grave of the Fireflies all in a row.

Forgot to mention I'm gonna add Dear Zachary on there if I can find it.

Edit: it's on Prime

I want to watch that but I'm really going to have to be in the right mood.

I've been putting off watching it for the better part of a decade

Rewatching the Addams Family Values. Anjelica Houston instilled some feelings in 9 year old me.

Hoo boy, do I have problems with this movie.  Must of it has to do with the science fiction mechanics, which I won't go into because spoilers.  But that's pretty much par for the course with Nolan - he comes up with these brilliant science fiction premises that just don't hold all the water they should.

I'm more surprised by the wooden acting and odd scene transitions.  John David Washington is so flat throughout, it's like someone slapped a beard on a mannequin of Denzel.  I'm wondering if they needed to forego re-shoots because of covid.

one of the biggest reasons why i enjoyed interstellar so much was due to the consultation of somebody like kip thorne in writing the movie and his defenses of the legitimacy of the physics seen within that movie

Right!  Their portrayal of time dilation was spot on.  But I doubt Kip had much input on the love-powered black hole bookcase time travel.

I still love the movie, but holy excrement.

Similar issues with The Prestige, which is his worst movie.  TA DA, Christian Bales!  Dude who gives a freak, this other guy's been cloning himself and committing suicide via drowning (why?!) every night, nobody gives a excrement about your magic trick.
