For real, though, go see Good Time. It never lets up and thrusts you into the most stressful night of a dude's life. Acting, editing, directing are incredible.

Best Picture is based on the nominations of the voting members of the Academy, of which there are several thousand. Best International Feature Film candidates are nominated by their respective countries' version of the Academy - each country gets to put one movie a year forward, hence why you never see a country represented more than once in the same year. It's highly unlikely that a movie would win Best Picture but not BIFF given the voters are the same; Best Picture has the whole field to go at, while BIFF only has the international nominees. Winning Best Picture but not BIFF despite being nominated for it would be like winning the Super Bowl despite not having won the Conference Final.

Not really that different than an animated film up for Best Picture and Best Animated. 

I saw 1917 the other day and I'll be happy to see either that or Parasite win.

1917 on Sunday. I have parasite but am having Difficulties getting alone time to watch it. Don’t think it’s a pizza movie.
