If Josh Allen isn't a unclutch piece of a excrement, they quite possibly win the game too.
Diggs doesn't make $28M for one game. He's a big reason why they were the #2 seed in the AFC.
He didn't cost $28M this year, or in 2021. That's my point - his contract hit for the last 4 years with the Bills has been
2023: $15M
2022: $11.7M
2021: $6.4M
2020: $13.5M
For the next three years it's $28M, he's 30 years old, and he's not playing to the same level he has previously. Obviously he's still a really good player, but his contract is about to become a significant problem relative to his production. In fact, there are maybe only two receivers in the league who I think would justify that level of contract right now - AJ Brown and CeeDee Lamb, both because their balance of age and production are right.
