I guess it depends how it's structured.  If it's like the Kaepernick deal, they could bail at most any point.  It would just force them to pay him well if they still want to keep him each year.  We'll see.
I think Cindy wanted the ability to get out quickly if he doesn't play to expectations.

*Edit:  Don't ever post from your phone after they've dilated your pupils at the eye doctor.  I'm squinting om my laptop right now and it's all I can do to type this.
