Nope

But teams that like a player usually keep him

For a guy to be let go 8 times is telling

He was signed 8 times too.

Kellen Clemens is on his 5th team

Doesn't mean a lot.

players with successful careers usually don't get whored around.

We signed a role player to be a role player. End of story.

You shut up.  He's been released too many times to be effective at.....part time work.

Stop taking out of your derriere for once.

Houston traded him when he no longer fit their scheme, then he got injured in back-to-back seasons.

He did well with Tennessee and cashed in with the Eagles.  If he wasn't any good, he wouldn't get a big contract like the one he signed in 2011.

He didn't deserve to be released by Philadelphia - it had nothing to do with his play.  They were just out of the race and their GM wanted to let some young players play.  They started over in 2013 with Chip Kelly and Babin wasn't going to be a part of their future plans.

The Jaguars claimed him and he was stuck with them for a while.

The guy hasn't missed a game in five years and he's been productive since 2010.

It's a great signing, I'm not against it at all.

I was saying it would be a tremendous feat if we have a ton of success with two guys who  were kind of busts now both past their primes Because of our defensive line and what not

He wasn't a bust.  He was traded when Houston had that huge turnover in 2006.  They never really got a lot out of him, but that team was a dumpster fire for a long time.

He suffered injuries in the middle of his career and it slowed him down.

Babin actually has been more productive than I thought the last 2 seasons. He's forced 7 fumbles in the 2 seasons since his monster 18 sack season. His main issue is that he's a liability against the run, but Rex would only play him on passing downs. I would expect him to be Antwan Barnes insurance and nothing else. But in this scheme, that could mean 10+ sacks with enough playing time.

It's a red flag that he has been cut twice midseason and again this offseason just 3 months after re-signing. I'm sure there were extenuating circumstances, especially for the one in Philly, but it's still worth noting.

Still like the signing. More competition for a spot that can make a strong impact. I feel much more comfortable with Babin and Barnes fighting for the primary edge rusher spot as opposed to relying on Barnes and McIntyre/Reilly/Cunningham/etc battling it out.

Or he could have spent it on re-signing Stephen Peterman, Mike Goodson and David Garrard, who between them cost about the same as LaRon Landry and between them played fewer games than LaRon Landry last season.

Let. It. Go.
