Turks is so pristine, I guess 'family' depends on whether you're talking about toddlers vs. adolescents.  And while I agree that Cancun is more activity-oriented I (I'm going get killed for this-ha) prefer Turks more chill vibe.

Turks was our first stop on the cruise we took back in 2008...best beach and water I've ever swam in
