Per league source, Rob Gronkowski is expected to be cleared this week and it is likely he will play on Sunday against the Saints.

Makes sense. Gronk will be fully healed by the time we play against them at home.

My guess is he fucked up his foot on the long ball grab over Cro and toughed it out the rest of the drive. They didn't even look his way after the bomb, thinking about it now it makes sense if he was really hurting

Apparently he broke the screw in his foot that was put in when he was a rookie.

I must be crazy, but I thought they eventually took the screws out of players body parts so they could heal naturally and excrement like this doesn't happen.

Not to my knowledge, they leave them in, anyone I know with screws has never gotten them taken out other than to replace one that's failing. It's getting more and more prevalent (screws and such). It seems like surgery to put pins and screws in broken bones has become commonplace.

Roddy White may miss at least one week with a hamstring injury.

Speaking of safeties LaRon Landry is questionable to miss his 4th game in a row

Guys an absolutely freaking awesome player, but no way in the world is he worth the money he got

Looking forward to drafting a safety next year. I'd imagine we'd take a look at Craig Loston in the 2nd round if he's still there.

Izdik was at the Miss State - LSU game doing some scouting. Probably looking at a couple of O-linemen (Jackson,Collins) And Loston.

Im not convinced we will, nor should look at safeties in the first 2, or maybe even 3 rounds.

A 3rd rounder wouldnt be awful if the value is there, but this team NEEDS to address wr/te/guard and OLB hard and heavy

Assuming we dont go QB, I would hope all 4 of our first picks only addressed those positions

I really think Landry/Allen/Bush/Jarrett is more than a servicable crop of guys. None of them elite or very good, but our safeties havent looked bad enough to warrant taking picks away from fixing our offense

And why do we need to address OLB "hard and heavy"?

Well because Calvin Pace is 33 this month and is a UFA after this year.

Barnes is going to be coming off a serious injury

Sapp is made of glass

and Mcintyre is a stopgap + rfa

And we like to be flexible moving Coples around.

So id say that its a pretty big need.

I mean safety we actually have a plethora of healthy abled bodies (whether theyre good or not is a different story)

OLB we just dont

and with all our cap space we won't be able to get a guy better than calvin pace and/or barnes like talent?

We don't need elite talent there with the way our d line is. Our back end needs a play making safety. Allen is coming a long nicely but you get a ball hawk on the back end and this defense will be scary everywhere
