Alex Smith was traded to KC a week before the Super Bowl.

Trades can be negotiated and agreed upon, but they are not official until March 17th.

Sure sounds like Douglas is trying to execute a trade with Houston to me. How hard he’s trying and how likely it is to come to fruition that Douglas executes the trade is a totally different story.

Really? What have you heard that makes you think that? There's a shitload of fan talk and a lot of talking heads, but I haven't heard a single thing that actually suggests that Douglas and the Jets have any interest. Not that I'm saying they don't - it would be mad of them not to be making the calls - but really it's all assumption and conjecture for now.
