If there's any truth to this.....Rex should know better.

I'm hoping this is a bullshit story.

Our defense didn't seem to have a ton of trouble with them last year.

Welker's wedding happened early 2012, so it happened likely happened during the 2011 season. Syncs up perfect with Rex Ryan being a guest at Nick Saban's Spring Coaching Clinic. They playbook itself could be spotted in an ESPN special sitting on Saban's desk as he was talking, so he definitely was given one.

It's too far back to really matter presently, I doubt they kept the terminology the same once Smith was tipped off. He probably thought more of someone handing over his playbook to another coach, but you probably shouldn't be giving that up to mere acquaintance.

To be fair it sounds like he was simply asked why he has a thin playbook.

Don't think it's a big deal

Pretty dumb to hand out the playbook to begin with.

Sounds like Rex isn't too happy with Pettine for running his mouth.

Isn't a chunk of the Browns organization from the Pats anyway?

So all bills friends are gonna have Pettines playbook which I'm sure is similar to ours

Yeah, he eventually made a joke about it, but it appeared he wasn't very happy about the story. I wonder what the relationship between Pettine and Ryan is like these days. They used to be close but it wouldn't appear so anymore.

Pettine would probably go to Rex's funeral.........and try to sneak in a sympathy bang with his wife afterward.

Hey, I hear she's got nice feet, so can you really blame him?
