Brian Costello @BrianCoz
Ras-I Dowling is playing with the first team defense. Milliner is on the sideline with no helmet.

Interesting it was Dowling, not Walls.  Just practice doh.

Nobody seems to have a reason for Milliner riding the bike and not doing drills. I wouldn't worry about it until TC.

It was Milliner's hamstring. After the practice, according to the media, Rex didn't sound too happy that Milliner wasn't practicing. Rex can't stand guys who can't stay on the field.

Being careful with an early season muscle tweak =/= can't stay on the field.

That's how the media painted it. I added the part about Rex's attitude toward guys who can't stay on the field, but the beat people were the ones who said Rex appeared annoyed at Milliner.

Eric Decker picks award show date with wife over Jets practice

By Brian Costello
June 4, 2014 | 2:54pm

High-priced Jets wide receiver Eric Decker skipped the team’s OTA on Wednesday to attend the CMT Awards in Nashville.

Decker, who signed a five-year, $36.25 million contract with the Jets in March, was hanging out with Kenny Chesney instead of Geno Smith. Decker is married to country singer Jessie James, and the duo were scheduled to be part of the show.

Jets coach Rex Ryan, who likes to brag about his team’s offseason attendance, said he did not have an issue with Decker missing the session, which was voluntary.

“Well, speaking as a married guy, absolutely recommended that you would go to that,” Ryan joked.

“So that would be recommended, I think. You ask for their support. You need to support them, too. This really is voluntary camps, there’s no doubt about it. Things like this pop up. This is the time to do it. It’s not like it happened during the season. Certainly we support Eric and things. He’d be treated no different than any other teammate regardless of how much they’re making.”

It seems like an odd decision considering Decker is learning a new offense and the Jets are limited to 10 OTA practices. It was unclear whether Decker would return in time for Thursday’s practice.

I don't see anything wrong with him supporting his wife.

That fat derriere Costello has been unbearable lately.

I can see both sides. It's not like these guys don't get months off, he can't show up for OTAs? He gets another month off before camp.

That said, I'd like to spend some time with his wife in Nashville, too.

Maybe they can reschedule the awards for him...

These OTAs are voluntary. Besides that, he's presenting an award on a nationally televised awards show with his wife, who he coincidentally has a reality show with. She also recently released her first country album. This is strictly about promotion. I have no issue with a guy supporting his wife's career, especially considering she just moved to New Jersey to support his.

On the bright side it means more reps for the young WRs who need them.

Yeeeah, freak OTAs.

Every chance he has to get additional naked time with her is worth it. Supporting her career and doing an awards show probably gets him laid that night.

Also freak that lucky mother fucker.
