The NFL Draft / Re: Rock Bowers

I'm not going to be upset if we take a tackle, but if I'm Douglas the play is a weapon at #10 and an interior lineman in the 3rd.

As it was written, let it be done.

Just glad to never feel obligated to argue about Zach Wilson again.
Challenge accepted

Moving up into the sixth gives us more ammo to move around or a better shot at a H/W/S prospect.

I never wanted him, but I don't think he's as bad as many seem to. He has games where he looks like a legitimate NFL starter. I wouldn't be entirely shocked if Payton turns him into one.

I agree. Denver is where I've thought all along would be best for him. I hate Payton at the top of the not-Belichick list, but if anyone can salvage Zach's career, it's him.

I was wrong about the pitching. It looks pretty damn good even without Cole so far.

But this lineup is just more of the same. Is this team aware it is not currently October, and they are playing the A's?

I'm glad I don't need to do any mental gymnastics to defend him anymore

A weapon will not matter if the QB is getting helped up after every play.

This class has tons of depth at wideout and we already have a WR1.  This draft will not be deep at OT after the first round and it will only get worse after the second.

I'll be pumped if we somehow get Odunze, but we need to reinforce the OL or it may not matter.

I'm not arguing that we need to reinforce the OL, I'm just not convinced that a tackle at 10 is the smartest way to do it. And of course a pass catcher of some kind helps there as well, if you have more and better options who are running batter routes, getting open more consistently, and contesting catches more effectively, then your QB is going to get the ball out quicker and feel less concerned about extending plays, and the defense is going to be a bit more circumspect about sending the house. So drafting a top WR or even an elite TE at 10 absolutely helps your QB stay upright.

I still believe that the Dewayne Robertson trade was far worse than the blind Sam trade up.
I hated that trade so much
