Best part about this picture is that I can tell you cracked open a beer, took a few sips, then said "freak I have a lot of pipes. I'm going take a picture." Set the beer down, arranged everything in perfect order, and shot the pic. You then grabbed the beer, took a huge swig, and said "Let's light one of these bad boys up, but which one?" I broke my my cheech double honeycomb a couple months back on accident, so i'm relegated to my foot long hollow blue pipe and joints. I ordered a magic flight the other day, to treat my self, but it wont be here for a week or so.

I have smoked before going to the gym about 95% of the time since college. Doesn't affect my endurance at all and makes the overall experience more enjoyable given the amount of douchebags in there. Just zone out to my music, and focus on my workout.
Not trying to be a tough guy or impress anyone, but that's really my routine. People that say weed kills your work ethic or motivation never really had that much to begin with.

Any indica dominant strain knocks me out and makes me stupid. It's just more difficult to process stuff. Some people can get away with it but weed effects everyone differently and for most people it makes doing tasks more difficult. I don't see the point in getting baked just to make something more challenging than it is. Just because you can do it doesn't make it a good idea
Smoking before the gym (when i actually used to go regularly) was generally a no no for me, unless it was something light like bi's tris or abs. Then yeah, there were times i was able to "get in the zone"
Any high intensity Olympic lift like deadlift or squats i'd be gassed and dead practically on warmups. Filling your lungs with carcinogens (unless you used a vape) is just retarded if you plan on doing heavy lifting. My workouts were pretty short but intense and involved going heavy....weed is a depressant so naturally it makes it more difficult to push through and keep pushing yourself when your body is ready to give up.

I couldn't deal anymore with the disappointment of having nice glassware and then breaking it. It was usually in the stupidest moments too, which made it worse.
I like the high from vapes more anyways. it's just cleaner. If I don't want to waste a ton of weed rolling a joint/blunt or load up the vape, I have a little like $40-50 glass bowl i use. Nothing fancy, good as a backup and fairly hard to break/not a big deal if i do.

Ok I probably shouldn't have projected my own beliefs onto other people, since everyone is different and definitely have different reactions to intoxicants.
I'm sure you know medical marijuana users smoke literally all day, and yes, some of them are functional human beings that make positive contributions to society.
In regards to working out, I agree with you for the most part. I went through the same thing around 6+ years when I started doing it. I used to get tired and not push through workouts, but that's also because I was a novice at weightlifting. Not anymore. My strength, endurance, athleticism are all the best they have ever been in my life and continue to improve on a daily basis. I squat, deadlift, run distance, you name it. If there are any actual studies on if marijuana affects your ability to work out or build muscle, I would happily read them. I've honestly always been curious about the physical side effects, but have never experienced any negative ones.
edit: the comment of mine that you bolded was more directed at people that don't smoke and assume that if you do, you're lazy, sedentary, and unhealthy.

In my personal experience I am the only person I know that does this. I have a ton of friends that both smoke and exercise but none of them combine the two. thanks for sharing.

I have a magic flight. For tailgating games or concerts the thing freaking kicks derriere, just make sure your batteries have enough juice. AC trips they come in handy too, I don't enjoy being the one to stink up a room if no one else is partaking. Nothing like a nice session before sitting down to play some hold em though.

Banks have become way more risk averse nowadays, so this isn't a surprise. One regional bank will end up deciding to go against the grain, they'll make a killing, and suddenly every bank will get in on it. Usually how it happens. Hell that's pretty much how the credit crunch happened.

I'm sorry, did you miss the whole legalisation discussion going on over the last few years? The argument for doing so is unassailable, IMO. It clearly has powerful medicinal benefits, and it's impossible to stop recreational use so it would be much better controlled and taxed. I don't think anyone can sensibly argue otherwise.
However, the attempt to entirely debunk the fears about it are just as deluded as the arguments to keep it illegal, IMO. It is a gateway drug (I can accept that there's an argument that that is less true if it's legal), and it can and does cause significant medical and psychological problems.

Most people smoke too much (at once). You can make a little bit last a long time if you have a good vape for ground material or use a 1 hitter properly.
I enjoy the act of smoking. I mostly just roll Js and take a few hits.
If i have to be in an office or somewhere where I can't openly be a stoner it's a vape pen or 1 hitter discretely.

When I was in denever a few years ago the wax aand shatter was insane. I had a pretty decent tolerance at the time and one hit on the vape pen felt like getting high after a very long break. Was definitely cool to just walk down the street and take hits without it being super obvious you were getting high.

Not that I am for a moment defending the policy - I'm very much in favour of legalisation - but considerably more people smoke weed than commit murder, rape, aggravated assault and burglary. Also, possession of a controlled substance such as weed is very often a subsequent charge when someone is already being arrested for something more serious and the search turns up some gear. I can't imagine the police very often arrest someone for weed and then happen upon a murder knife or a stolen TV in their pocket.

(CNN) Spencer Boston had a message. And nothing was going to stop him from delivering it -- not even jail time.
Boston, 20, was in court Monday in Wilson County, Tennessee, facing a simple marijuana possession charge, according to Wilson County Sheriff's Department Lt. Scott Moore. But as he stood to face Judge Haywood Barry, he began expressing his views on why weed should be legalized.
And to amplify his point, he reached into his jacket and slipped out a single marijuana cigarette. He then pulled out a box of matches and, you guessed it, lit it up.
Boston got in several quick inhales before security personnel realized what was happening. They detained Boston and escorted him out of the courtroom, Moore said.
Boston wasn't done, though. Before being led out, he turned to the gallery and declared, "The people deserve better!"
The courtroom burst out laughing, Moore told CNN.
Boston's message came at a cost. The Wilson County Sheriff's Office said Boston was charged with disorderly conduct and simple possession of marijuana. Barry also held him in contempt of court for his actions.
Boston is currently serving 10 days in jail for contempt. Afterward, he's eligible to post a $3,000 bond, Moore said.
His next court appearance is scheduled for April 14.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker's office says Tuesday that $34.7 million is coming from excise taxes.
The state charges a variety of taxes on marijuana depending on the amount of THC, the ingredient that gets you high. Tax ranges from 10% - 20% at retail locations.
The state also charges a 7% tax to cultivators on the sale of cannabis to retailers.
The Cook County Board approved an additional 3% tax on recreational marijuana sales throughout the county. That tax went into effect July 1.

And that's just sales tax. It's not accounting for employment and the resulting income tax revenue, or for the tax revenue from store front rentals on otherwise damaged and/or dying high streets, and probably a host of other things to boot. There is exactly zero sensible argument for not legalizing weed IMO.
The problem with many jurisdictions is twofold, a hangover of puritan values that have ingrained "drugs bad" into many people's minds, and a fear that the establishment isn't going to be able to capitalise on the new market. As soon as existing corporations with well established lobbies and good political connections are set up to own the market, expect the barriers to fall pretty quickly.

I just spend 3 days in the hospital with horrible stomach pains and vomiting 10-15 times a day, getting various testing done to come out of it with a cannabis hyperemesis syndrome diagnosis and i have to quit cold turkey after just a shade under 30 years of use. big time sads. they thought it was this on day 2, but since i was there figured theyd get everything done since i wasnt responding all that well to any of the pain meds until late yesterday afternoon.
least im alive? i dont even know what people do for fun anymore, what do i do with my hands? the last 12 months have not been kind lol
