12/18 is definitely out as a choice for the main tailgate for me, Mrs E really wants to come this year and she hates the cold. I'm only 6 hours away now though so if we're still somehow competing at that point pretty much any game is an option for me now if it's a good game and there's a tailgate happening.
If the main tailgate is week 3 or 5 then I'm sure I can swing it, it probably just means that Pittsburgh is exclusively a boys' trip. Which obviously would be awful and I'd hate every minute of it.

I ask this because the three who are coming from furthest away - Scotland, Heis, and MB - all seem to have this as their common ground, but obviously we want to make sure as many as possible can make it as well and I think it's a few years since you were able to do one, so it's a consideration.
Ideally we'd like to get it locked in ASAP as flights are probably going to be optimal pricing over the next month or so for those who are flying in.

I should know within a week if I can attend. As most of you know, I’ve basically re-started at my job so long story/short, my hours are complete garbage right now but that may change soon. As of now, I’d have to be out.
If my hours/days off change, I will certainly attend whatever I can whether it is the game, the Friday night shananigans, hopefully both. I really don’t know what to recommend Manhattan wise because I haven’t worked there since March ‘18. I’m in Queens now so even if my excrement hours continue I could possibly meet in Manhattan around 10pm on Friday.

I would myself however I had to commit months back to securing a MetLife 50 Club group package (family, i.e. uncle delavan as tix santa). That said (and assuming I’ll be in the same parking lot neck of the woods), I plan on making an extra batch of “bowl of red” (authentic made from scratch Tx chili) and lugging it over.

I woke up to an email telling me my flight was cancelled! I tried to phone the airline but was unable to talk! I had to phone my wife to get her to try and sort an alternative- my voice has come back but only a wee bit.

So I'm back and back to work today and still a bit Jet lagged.
Here's a few recollections of the past weekend.
To start with, this tailgate weekend was up their with the best of them; everything was just great fun.
Meeting up on Friday at the Haymaker was just brilliant. What a venue!
Haven't seen some of you guys for years but it was like picking up from a few weeks ago. The food and beer was superb and I would definitley suggest we make this our starting point in future get togethers.
A big thank you to LJF for his planning and all the kit he and his Bro brought to the lot for another brilliant cookout including all the food - it was awesome. Thanks guys can't thank you enough.
To everyone who brought all the food, bagles, chips and all the condiments and stuff, tables chairs etc thanks to you too it's really appreciated and truly fantastic quality.

When I think of SFD in terms of the tailgate it’s either the lunatic with the craziest voice at the Texans game or the “MAN BUNNNNNNN!!” guy at the Ravens game.
But yeah, got a women, has a house, got a kid…he’s all growns up now. (I won’t mention the Fox Farm cans you dropped at the Titans game last year ::)
Great to see who I saw on Friday, great time as always, especially Scotland, Cato and MBG, who I hadn’t seen in awhile. (and thanks again for the beer, JE)…I told you all that night and I’ll repeat it…next year is a near certainty. Great tailgate as always. We crushed it, if I don’t say so myself.
Appreciate the kind words. It’s been different the past couple years because watching my kid *actually like* the Jets has been such a wild experience for me. I don’t really force it on him either, I just do my thing and he copies me. Lately, he begs us to wear a Jets (or Yankees) jersey and hat every day. He loves watching the games, throwing the ball around, and he especially loves the tailgate and the live game. Probably doesn’t hurt that he’s 2-0.
Scotland Jet is right- a few years ago just getting hammered and yelling at the top of my lungs for the Jets was peak living for me. excrement got real the past few years. I’ve enjoyed the journey
