I’m hoping to see some quality offensive football today.
And by quality I mean a team that clearly looks capable of scoring 20 ppg every single time out there. Which really isn’t all that much to ask. I think 20 ppg last year would have put us at like 27th of the 32 teams. I have to believe we can do that. The offense is going to be fun to watch grow, the defense on the other hand might make me wonder if we need to average 40 ppg in order to go .500 this season

-Jets LB will play better than expected.
-Wilson will have a conservative game. Nothing too flashy, but limits turnovers, completion % solid. 17-26, 195 yds. 1 TD, 1 INT.
-Darnold will have a good game.
-ST doesn't factor in too much. Amendola hits 2, misses 1.

Last time we played in Carolina, I was there. Since then, I've moved to Connecticut, California and Las Vegas. Wearing the same jersey wore last time we were in Carolina (Sheldon Richardson - who scored 2 TD that day on offense). I've gotten fatter since then. Fun tailgate scene. Could walk from a tailgating lot to a grocery store to buy more beer and cigars. Can't do that at MetLife.

Our OL was godawful all training camp and in every scrimmage against the Eagles and Packers. Panthers have a very good DL, too. So probably both.

I mean, this is what we were told by every beat writer all training camp, that the offensive line was hopeless against the Eagles and Packers and even our own defense. Was hoping we could scheme some things to make life easy for Wilson, but easier said than done, especially when the OL is THIS bad.

Geez this is shitty. Offensive line protection has been atrocious as has been run blocking. No pressure on Darnold, no answer for anything the Panthers are doing on offense. Darnold has looked pretty good, but the Jets are awful, so hard to say much.
Honestly Wilson has played about as well as anyone could, minus the INT. He has no run game, no protection, no time, no nothing. He's gonna get killed.
I expected the secondary to be bad, that isn't a surprise. Both lines are a titanic disappointment.
ST has been pretty good.
Maybe now fans will settle down and understand this is not a quick rebuild. This team is still bad. Very short on talent.

Panthers fumble inside the 5 yard line makes it look a lot better. Panthers averaging 7.3 yards per play, and the only turnover came when the fullback bumped into Sam.
