If we miss on Deshaun Watson and somehow bring in another QB (Stafford) without giving up a first, that's a great first couple picks.
Still think if we don't get Watson, then Wilson is the move.

If we move back to say 4 for a couple of picks, I still think we need to go quarterback. Trey Lance would need to be the pick.
We can trade back and still move on from Sam Darnold. He's too far gone.

I wouldn't be upset about either. They are both elite prospects. Chase offers a little more size, but Smith is a special route runner and ball carrier.

No one else gave the Jets less than a B and they still finished with the 4th highest aggregate ranking which means he’s objectively way off

His grades aren’t even accurate to his rankings. If he had methodology where he gave us points based off his big board rankings and justified his grade off of that, I could buy that. I’m not doing the work, but we killed his big board rankings, there’s no way more than a couple teams other than us got more of his top players. So he basically just tanked our grade because he hates Wilson. But the Patriots got a B even though Jones was ranked lower. Ok.

I once fell down the stairs while blind drunk and hit the wall halfway down. Managed to make contact in the perfect place between two studs and punched an arse sized hole in the drywall. Thankfully, I'm quite good at drywalling so my wife found it more amusing than anything.

#2 overall pick that almost immediately washed out of the league. They chose him ahead of Andre Johnson, which probably impacts that ranking quite a bit.
Big Mike Williams was just as bad, but the pick wasn't as high.

I can get Rogers over Russell as the worst pick. Rogers had Stephen Hill's career in the NFL, except he went #2 overall.

Dee Milliner at least had a couple good games with the Jets. Vernon Gholston did nothing and was drafted higher.

I started to reply arguing based on the fact Gholston played over twice as many games as Milliner, who was picked 9th and played 21 games over 4 seasons. But then I looked at the stats and Milliner actually had more tackles in his 21 games than Gholston did in 45. And you can make a reasonable argument that Milliner's failure was at least in part due to the misfortune of injury, while Gholston doesn't even have that.
So yeah. It's Vernon Gholston.

The Raiders under Mayock prided themselves on character guys and then proceeded to draft Henry Ruggs and Damon Arnette. Raiders were in the police blotter constantly out here.
