Title: Bill O'Brien to Alabama
Post by: reuben on January 21, 2021, 07:07:49 PM
Well you knew some NFL failure was going to be Saban's next pet project.

Quote
The University of Alabama has hired ex-Texans coach Bill O'Brien as its offensive coordinator.

Fresh off winning his seventh national championship, living legend head coach Nick Saban reportedly considered both BOB and ex-Jets coach Adam Gase to coordinate his offense. From Steve Sarkisian to Lane Kiffin to Brian Daboll, Saban has made a habit of reviving the careers of damaged goods assistants. O'Brien has over a decade of college experience, most recently as the head coach at Penn State in 2012-13. O'Brien's recent NFL offenses were stale and predictable, if not necessarily bad. Working with Saban is about as good of an opportunity as he could have hoped for when it came to restoring his reputation.
