At the 39-yard line, it's probably about the same in terms of win probability. In today's NFL, I would lean towards going for it. Maybe against the Jets putrid offense, punting becomes more viable, but in general, I would lean towards going for it.
The Jets punted from the 34 on the 1st possession. I'm honestly fine with that. Every yard matters at that point.
