I disagree 100%. Our best chance of getting the ball in their red zone is for the defense to turn it over there. That kick wasn't close to a 30% chance - into the wind with an inexperienced kicker whose career long is fully ten yards shorter. The punt was the only sensible call, our only hope is to play percentages and field position.

It's still pathetic we can't do anything, but I don't think this is a problem that can really be schemed out of.

I don't disagree with that, but I'd like to feel like the players are failing solely because of their own inadequacies and I don't. It's clear that no one on offense really has a freaking clue what they're doing - every play is a shambolic broken mess. It's not just the QB and it's not just the play calling - this is a failure on the practice ground and in the meeting rooms.

Ryan Kalil needs to retire. He was done last season and we're still waiting for him to return to that form.
