Florida CB CJ Henderson is probably the best pro prospect in this one.

Bad news for Bama, LB Dylan Moses out for the season (ACL).   The other inside LB Joshua McMillon (knee)  also out for the year leaving Christian Harris and Shane Lee at ILB, both true freshman.

Does he still have the punchable face?

Rutgers fell behind UMass 21-7 before beating them 48-21, so they matched last year's win total.

ND-Louisville, sloppy fumble fest. ND doesn't look top 10; Louisville not last year's tank squad - props to their new coach.  Watched to check out 3 OL draft prospects (Louisville LT Mekhi Becton, ND's OG Tommy Kraemer, ND LT Liam Eichenberg).

Becton: huge but passive; Kraemer: feisty, bit of a clumsy chaser; Eisenberg: decent mobility, could use a little strength work.

Interesting: ND Jr. RG Aaron Banks; ND WR Chase Clayborne (big Mike Evans type target).

Saw part of the OT, my favorite part was the lengthy discussion about whether to keep going while it was getting darker by the moment. I deal with that coaching softball sometimes, it's like, if you want to finish this we better get going.

A shame an Ivy league school can't afford lights, they should charge more for tuition.

Harbaugh's post game press conference was hilarious, he had a complete sense of humour failure. He can't really complain, he knows there are two expectations as Michigan HC - win a National Championship, and beat Ohio State. If he'd actually managed to beat OSU once or twice in the last couple of years when he had a stacked team, maybe people would be going a bit more gently on him today.

It's going to be a lot harder for him to win 8 games in the Big Ten East than it was in the Big East. That program has a long way to go to respectability. It would be an unbelievable coaching job if he could get them to 8 wins in 3 years. I think he's a good college coach, so I think he'll do a good job there, but I think a good job there is basically being the next Indiana.

I bet UConn thought Randy Edsall would do the same thing for them, though Schiano is a far better coach.

Why not? He made a couple of really nice plays against a top secondary with a excrement QB throwing to him. IMO Lamb is the clear top guy at the position. Obviously I'm fine going OL but I think Lamb would really help out Darnold's development, especially as a complementary piece to Robby if he sticks around

Having any good wr across from Robby would help, but I dont think that is Lamb.  Sam would benefit most from a 6'4 reciever who can make plays over the middle and in the end zone.  With his excellent accuracy and mobility someone who can box out and jump over recievers would be perfect for Sam.  Sam made Terrelle Pryor look like a pro-bowler in a couple of those games, imagine what he could do with a guy like justin jefferson

Title: Re: 2019 NCAA Football

Do tell.

Back in early 2014, Sean Spencer (Penn State's DL coach) was recruiting Gage Cervenka to play nose tackle at PSU.  He came down to visit and they offered him.  James Franklin Facetimed with him because he had to, I guess.

Gage ended up committing to Clemson a few weeks later, his favorite team growing up.  His parents asked our AD to stop setting up visits and contacts from other programs.  His decision was final.

A few teams in the region kept coming hard after him (Duke, VT, and Georgia Tech) but mainly because they just always had guys in the area and we were in an area that's a hotbed of talent.  This allowed some of our other kids to get some exposure too.

Penn State obviously is nowhere near South Carolina.  They kept sending packet after packet after packet.  Our AD had to screen Spencer's calls.  This isn't uncommon for a good player but they were relentless and could've easily just moved on to the next one.

Anyway, James Franklin eventually took it head on.  He didn't like being told no.  He eventually got a hold of our AD's secretary and she told him that Gage had committed to Clemson, his recruitment was closed, and to not contact the school or the athletic department again.

A few days later, our principal comes in chuckling about an email he received from the district office.  James Franklin himself filed a complaint against our athletic secretary.  In this complaint, he accused her of being racist and dismissive of his attempts to recruit a player because he's a black head coach.

Plot Twist:  the athletic secretary is a 60-something black woman that he assumed was white because of her accent

Nothing ever came of it, but it just shows that he's a petty derriere bitch that went out of his way to smear this lady because he didn't like the fact that a 17 year old chose Clemson over Penn State.

In the end, Gage won two national championships with Clemson and James Franklin is 3-3 in bowl games with zero playoff appearances.  I think the kid made the right choice.

I think the kid made the right choice.

that's some sweet justice

Wow. What a piece of excrement.

It's not even like he chose some random school over the mighty PSU, Dabo and Venables had already established themselves at Clemson at that point.

There are tons of these stories out there. Franklin freaking bullies these kids into playing for him and then bullies them at PSU. That little bitch needs to be fired into the sun.

Unfortunately for everyone he’s a perfect match for that excrement hole “happy valley” And the attitude that has persisted in that town since long before Sandusky ever arrived

A kid I know committed to Rutgers a year early, TE from my town, I coach his younger sister and know the parents quite well. If nothing else I get to root for him in college beginning next season.
