At the half it's 14-5 Redblacks.

Great name, could never get away with that in the US.

Glenn throws a late pick, probably ends Montreal's chances.  27-13 Ottawa with 3:04 left.

Define big...its TV rights amount to $32 million a year as opposed to the $5 billion per year the NFL gets.

I paid $400 for really good season tickets for the RedBlacks. Senators season tickets would have cost two grand.

It's fun but few people outside of Saskatchewan really care that much. It's better than no football though.

Well, it's been around since the 50s, and is still profitable. So they have that going for them at least.

Absolutely better than no football, hence my interest. Was disappointed to doze off and miss the late game.

Watched Winnipeg at Toronto yesterday, pretty much of an derriere kicking. Toronto scored off a couple turnovers to make it respectable. Plenty of good seats were available.

They really struggle to sell tickets for the Argos; it's a distant fifth in popularity behind the Leafs, Jays, Raptors and TFC. They reduced beer prices to $5 this season.

...I was actually watching CFL Friday or Saturday because it happened to be on ESPN or whichever channel, saw Westerman, and said to my buddy oh that guy used to be on the Jets. Then I thought, no way he’s still actually playing and it’s just a guy with the same last name.

The Manziel show is in Ottawa right now. No picks as yet, but the Redblacks are doing their best to hand the game to Montreal's defense.
Title: Re: CFL Thread
Post by: Johnny English on August 11, 2018, 10:04:21 PM
Manziel wasn't too bad tonight, but his supporting cast are freaking abysmal. Redblacks won with a late score, but they turned the ball over 5 times and Montreal turned one of them into points.

Manziel: 16/26 for 168 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs
Harris: 44/55 for 487 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT

If Ottawa had just held onto the ball they'd have destroyed the Als.
