"The man suing Tajae Sharpe claims Sharpe beat him unconscious after the man "made comments about Sharpe getting less playing time" due to the Titans' selection of Corey Davis.
The lawsuit filed by alleged victim Dante Satterfield says "it was understood by all parties that Sharpe was upset by the Titans' selection of Davis." Along with teammate OG Sebastian Tretola, Sharpe allegedly followed Satterfield outside Tin Roof Bar in Nashville, where Satterfield was allegedly "punched in the face to the point of unconsciousness."

No? I don't remember anyone actually wanting that, at all.
I like Mariota, he's a good dude with some talent and he has had a tough time with coaching and supporting roster in Tennessee. He's not the kind of player you tank for though.

Yes, the end of the last Rex year. We won in December at Tennessee and they almost beat us on a last ditch lateral play, people were mad we didn't let them score. Winston and Mariota, that year.

A lot of people were pissed we beat Tennessee to hurt our draft pick. IIRC, the odds of us getting a top-2 pick weren't all that great, but we needed to lose to Tennessee to have a chance.
-
I used to think about that lateral play, if it would come back to haunt us for years. So far no.

It's better if New England keeps Tom Brady. He's done.
If they sign him to a massive two year contact like he wants, it cripples them more than it helps.

Add a year to his age subtract a metric ton of money from them and they have no ability to improve. As much as we all want him gone, it will be much sweeter watching him “lead” them to 6-10 or 7-9 with him falling apart and that roster losing pieces all offseason

two years would be a good contract/target for us. we probably won't get much accomplished next year anyways. i know we've been good and have 'beaten' them in the past, but i still hope for being able to beat the brady/belichick combo in a meaningful game one last time before they're done, as opposed to the jets becoming good only after brady left the division
if we became good i know it honestly wouldn't matter. it would just feel good to beat them while they're still a unit. i could see something like that happening two seasons from now

Part of me wants to see Brady go elsewhere just to see Patriots fans freak out.
But a bigger part of me wants to see a declined Brady quarterback the Patriots and see how awkward it could potentially get.

Thought about it a little and I think Brady playing elsewhere would hurt them more, especially if his replacement sucks.
If he stays in NE his decline would probably continue gradually and the fans would make excuses (see NY and Eli) until he makes a graceful exit. Leaving NE has a much higher chance of disaster.

Having Brady leave and both his new and old team being absolutely terrible would probably be best case scenario.
Though if he left and sucked fans would just call BB a genius.
So maybe he leaving and killing it while his new team sucks dick so he misses the playoffs would be the best

I thought it would eff the Marlins and the Cards seasons but it didn’t. That was a shortened schedule with expanded playoffs tho

I just don't know where they'll fit in 2 games. Sure you can squeeze in one during the bye, but then what?
At least with MLB they could do doubleheaders and whatnot.

I wonder if we see something absurd like a Sunday/Thursday/Monday
It’s also possible that if the titans don’t need to play the game for playoffs/seeding purposes then it will just get forfeited or not counted.
With the Pats now having the Rona in their building I wonder if we see a league wide shut down for 2 weeks after this weekend?

Cheating didn't cause them to reschedule games, lose revenue, or potentially pee off the league's gambling partners.
It also didn't put anyone's health at risk due to a global pandemic.

But I don't see anything inherently unreasonable from how the organization is handling it.

Not an lol thing
But some stats of Derrick Henry were going around on social media, and his senior year of HS he put out what I imagine is the most ridiculous stat line in existence.
He set the Florida high school record with a 510-yard performance against Jacksonville Jackson and averaged 9.2 yards per carry and 327.8 yards per game as a senior, finishing the season with a state-record 4,261 yards and 55 touchdowns.

Just imagine how demoralizing that must have been to the other guys trying to tackle him.
-
The closest I’ve ever seen to that is Ryan Mathews.
He rushed for over 3,000 yards and 40 TDs …as a QB. I think he threw for 1000 yards and 10 TDs too.

Apparently titans cut Jamarco Jones for excessive fighting.
I imagine with the connection to Downing and out tackle situation we need to be considered a realistic landing spot
Whether he's capable of making the roster, entirely different story. But I imagine he's a fringe roster guy even before accounting the fighting

I don't know if we need more fringe roster guys. I think we have a lot of those guys. Max Mitchell, Billy Turner, Mekhi Becton, Duane Brown, Carter Warren. We have plenty of rosterable guys. I mean if they think Jamarco Jones is an upgrade, then sure, but I think we have depth there this year. I don't think there's an impact player in the group this year, but I also think we have enough there where it won't be a massive liability.
