For a 10 team league your QB's suck.  Just being honest.

RB and WR could save you.

Really like this team. Granted, I'm used to 12-team leagues, but Ellington/Ball/Vereen gives you 3 good chances at top 5 PPG production if they're healthy/keep the job (Ball). CJ and Tate are a bonus.

Calvin and Alshon are a very good 1-2 at receiver obviously. Edelman should be very productive again, and I'm a Torrey Smith fan. Also like the upside of Ertz/Reed at tight end.

I'm a Cutler fan for fantasy, too, and I like the strategy of waiting at QB. I think this draft is a good example of what waiting at QB can get you (though since it's a keeper, it's hard to know who was drafted where).

Yes, Cutler is the classic boom/bust. I got him in the 8th rd.

I hear that FootballGuys.com has a good 'Rate My Team' link where you can input your team and scoring system and it'll give you a grade...

I tried it.  It said I wasn't a big enough player of the pink oboe to qualify to use the service.

Damn. That's probably one of the worst teams I've ever seen. You must have some weird scoring set up, because for the life of me I can't even begin to make sense of any of your picks.

Very good 16-teamer. Just gotta keep an eye out for sleeper receivers. Or if Green busts out, trade Cameron.

The 8-teamer also seems unfair, but 8 team leagues suck, so every team is boss.

If you interested, I can send you a challenge, or anyone for that matter.  Cost $2.00, but will probably need to deposit a minimum of $10.00.

Ertz is $4,500.00, but I think I can get 4 catches for 30-40 yards from Amaro.  If I am overly lucky, maybe a TD.

12 Team PPR (picked 1st) (1 QB, 2 HB, 3 WR, 1 FLEX)

QB: RGIII, Geno
RB: Jamaal Charles, Pierre Thomas, Lance Dunbar, Knile Davis, Christine Michael, Roy Helu, Lorenzo Taliaferro
WR: Cobb, Fitzgerald, C. Patterson, Kendall Wright, Jennings, Hartline
TE: Gronk
D/ST: Streaming (Philly this week)
K: Adam Vinatieri

Was also offered Graham+Lynch for Charles. The option of having Gronk/Graham at TE (and the other at Flex) is VERY appealing, while still getting Lynch back in return. Thoughts?

WR: Andre Johnson, Michael Crabtree, Tavon Austin, DeSean Jackson, Doug Baldwin, Donnie Avery
TE: Dennis Pitta
D/ST: Panthers

Not a fan at all. QB is very dicey. Half of your RB belong on waiver wire as well. Receivers are pretty good though. If Gronkowsi is hurt and RG3 struggles you will be in for a rough start.

On a side note, I have no idea what to think of Pierre Thomas this year. I have him in a PPR league but am worried he gets relegated to 5 touches a game.

You're weak at RB and Charles is one of the best RB's so it's a bit of a downgrade and then you're strengthening a strength (TE).

If you can only have one flex and no TE like you showed above, this trade doesn't really help you all that much, if at all. If you have a TE in addition to a flex, then it's a bit better.

Post by: Matt4776 on September 04, 2014, 11:17:03 AM
Yeah, that was my bad. I get a TE in addition to my FLEX. My thought is that if I accept, I could have Gronk, Graham, Cobb, and Fitzgerald, and Patterson as top-20 WR options, with Gronk and Graham putting up possible top-5 WR seasons.

YES...  24 rounds, 14 teams.  We start tons of D obviously (3 LB, 3 DB, 1 DE, 1 DT, 3 D).  Think my D could win me some games.  Keeper league, but rounds 1-3 are ineligible.  Hence, Luck in the 4th (also, QB's get mad points in this league).  Dropped Austin immediately when Latimer went undrafted.  Love my potential 3 keepers (the rooks).  Will be rounds 22-24 next year, unless I keep Luck.  Might scratch your head at Richardson and Bowe, but skill positions were evaporating, and I needed backup for bye weeks.  Thought about Bridgewater with my last pick, but went with the rookie back that had a good camp.

Mr. Irrelevant was Simple Jace, which gave me a chuckle.  No other Jets fans in the draft.

12 team, standard yahoo scoring

QB: Rothlisberger
RB: LeVeon Bell
RB: Melvin Gordon
WR: Mike Evans
WR: Jeremy Maclin
Flex: Ameer Abdullah
TE: Dwayne Allen
K: Mason Crosby
Def: -

RB: Tevin Coleman
RB: Bishop Sankey
WR: Eric Decker
WR: Torrey Smith
WR: Stevie Johnson
WR: Donte Moncrief
TE: Antonio Gates

Don't like the Moncrief pick, he would have went undrafted and I took him in round 13/15. I had a serious brain meltdown with that pick, didn't know who to take and had no one in my queue with no time on the clock. also regret waiting on TE, I got fucked. I think my teams biggest weakness is that I have too many rookie RBs that might not end up contributing.

Side note: I got Bell with the #3 pick.

Still not a fan of my 1st round pick?

Note my 4th round keeper.  I could afford to take everyone I wanted a round early.  Came in 2nd only because Luck had his only bad week in the finals.

This year Luck was a 2nd round keeper.  So I had 1 shot in the first 40 picks and got Megatron.  No idea how this will go.

Lol, I just won with the following team I drafted 10 Team League PPR, QB gets 4 pts. per TD and 1 per 25 passing yards: It's legit, I am not freaking with you guys.

QB: Cam Newton   (7)
RB: Todd Gurley  (2)
RB: Kareem Hunt   (9)
WR: Antonio Brown (1)
WR: Jarvis Landry  (5)
TE: Jordan Reed   (4)
D: Panthers
K: Blair Walsh
Flex: Amari Cooper (3)
Bench: Doug Martin  (11)
Bench: Marvin Jones  (13)
Bench: Jrdan Matherws (12)
Bench: Marqise Lee   (14)
Bench: Brandon Marshall  (8)
Bench: Tevin Coleman  (10)
Bench: Rob Kelley (6)

This was my draft, I subsequently picked up Jo-Jo Schuster, Jack Doyle, Carson Wentz, Greg Zuerlein, and the Rams defense.

During the playoffs, (2 games each of 2 rounds, highest total wins) I lost Zuerlein (#1 Kicker), Brown (#1 WR), Wentz (#2 QB), Gurley (#1 RB for last game) and couldn't play Hunt (#4 rb) because I thought they were going to sit him.
I still won the league handily.
