Darnold played pretty well. Made 1 big mistake on the INT. Came to play, didn't excrement himself against a good defense.

Vyncint Smith is actually kind of promising as a 4th wideout. He's at the very least tall and fast.

Offense looked really good in the 1st half. Was very impressed with them. Second half was another story, but once the game was completely out of reach and running the ball was no longer a possibility, they could just pin their ears back and blitz.
Defensively, we just don't have the personnel to match up with the Ravens, especially on a short week, especially on the road. Facing Baltimore on the road on a Thursday night is probably the toughest situation there is in the NFL this season.

Only positives from this game were Robbie and special teams sans Ficken, who should be cut asap.
Everything else looked bleak af, especially the defensive side of the ball. I was genuinely surprised the few times they managed to get a stop.

Jamison Crowder continues to look like a solid option in the slot. Sam didn't play horribly. It wasn't a perfect game from him, but he made a lot of plays.

Both TD throws to Crowder were top notch. Tight window, under pressure. A bit Farvey- will make some bigtime throws but you have to live with a dumb throw from being too aggressive here and there.

This actually wasn't Gase's worst coached game, but I snort-laughed when he was asked about 4th-and-1 in his postgame and he responded with "We don't have many plays for 4th and 1."

Anyhow, Baltimore is arguably the best team in Football, the Jets are bottom 7, can't cry about the outcome, just wish it was more competitive in the end.
Now we have 10 days to say how much we hate Gase, Woohoo lol

Same. We stayed in it longer than I thought we would, considering we had our backup defense against the hottest team in the NFL. After the first series the offense did a good job keeping possession and moving the ball, if we don't leave 10 easy points on the field it's 21-17 at the half. Even early in the third we stopped them the first time or two, the fumble deep in our end broke it open.

Using the Ravens game to evaluate Gase is crazy, everyone knew we were outmatches and would never compete talent wise on a short week. That said we still got blown out and that’s another black mark (albeit a small one) against Gase, as it is much more forgivable than most of this season.
Now he has another mini-bye to work with. If we come out flat and get pounded by the Steelers then that’s a giant red flag against Gase in my eyes. Good coaches make the extra time work for them. Gase used his bye very poorly. Let’s see if he uses the mini bye any better
