He’s a decent player. I loved him coming in as a transfer but he never got any chance at Miami. Just a run and hit MLB, but not as athletic as Zaire.

That’s a dude I at least know. Given the state of our safeties, I’d suspect either Dean or Muddy Waters are the “most likely to stick” guys

Lack of DTs is upsetting

Look we legit don't have our 2nd starting DT

Quenton is weak against the run so unless we sign al woods or trade for a vet , still worry about our run d

I don't think we're finding that guy as a UDFA though. I assume we'll be hitting the FA market to see what's left.

Please explain why. I still don't understand how someone who can only play 0 works in our defense.

We lost everyone's favorite run stopper, Nathan Shepherd.  We need someone that can play 0, 1 "shade", and 2i.  Woods can do that.  He's a rotational run stuffer and we need one in the worst way.

Woods isn't a swap for Shepherd, your favourite Canadian might not have been great but he could play 3 and even 5 and he could stunt. It's not a swap I'd make.

Woods played the same role in Seattle.  We are going to play more three man fronts in 2023.  McDonald is going to play standing in some looks.

Shepherd playing 5-tech is disgusting.  Horrendous player.

Are we? If we do it makes more sense but I don't know why. Every time we lined up with 3 last year we had the 0 open, although I can see that might be at least to some extent because we didn't have anyone who can play nose.

You don't need a true nose to play a three man front.  You can do it with a shade.  That's what Rex used to do, especially on passing downs.

I'll defer, but I feel like Saleh's front values mobility over size. Woods doesn't fit that model.

I imagine he’s just a piece of the rotation. He’s not the “standard” look.

But we need a guy to play on obvious run downs who can clog the middle. On a must stop 3rd and 2 we need somebody who can stand ground, pull two blockers and allow Mosely to shoot a gap and blow excrement up
