I wondered if us meeting with JMS at every opportunity was not because we were in love with him, but because we had questions we needed answered. To me I don’t think he’s nearly the athlete that Tippman, or my guy Wypler is.
We have our new starting C and we have three depth IOLs. I expect us to sign a tackle, either Flemming or Fant this week.

Brown and Becton will be the starting OTs. We will sign another guy to compete with Mitchell and be depth. I’d expect it to be Fant honestly. He is a leader here, has played both sides and did it at a reasonably high level before the knee last year.

Duane Brown is going to be 38 years old. He's played 215 career games, and he's started every one.
He's not competing for a starting job in camp. He is starting. If he struggles, he may get benched later. But he's not coming off the bench to start the year.

Absolutely. But that's not Plan A IMO.
I think most likely, we go with Brown-AVT-McGovern-Laken-Becton to start the year.
Tippman or Schweitzer can step in as the primary backup IOL in case of injury.
Mitchell and AVT (and backfilling OG) is the primary backup at OT. The order depends on how good Mitchell is.

To me that statement is about trading out of 43.
I’d expect us to monitor the rest of the day and possibly consider trading up from 112 to around 100 a possibility if we have a dude top on our board right now still sitting there when we hit the comp pick portion of the day.
But it’s highly unlikely.

I’m so curious to see if Sean Tucker gets drafted. He had a personal pro day a few days ago. Rumor was that he had a heart condition uncovered at the combine and just got cleared about 10 days ago. Dude is an awesome back to watch, also a literal track star at Cuse.
Jets were one of the 4-5 teams who went to that workout. If we decide to pass on a back in the draft, Tucker would be my first call as a UDFA if he slips through because of questionable medicals
